General Labor – Door Glazing

Remote - Houston, TX

The Door Glazing Operator installs glass into pre-assembled door panels, ensuring correct

fit, sealing, and finishing. This role handles heavy materials, uses tools and chemicals, and

maintains high quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Install glass into door panels per work orders instructions and specifications

• Lift, move, support large/ heavy glass (50-300 lbs), either individually, with a team,

or using lifting equipment/cranes

• Use hand/power tools and materials: spatulas, silicone guns, razor blades, cleaning

chemicals (oil / alcohol based), etc.

• Ensure sealed glazing is free from defects, alignment issues, gaps

• Clean glass and surrounding frame, remove debris, ensure finish quality

• Report defects or damage

• Maintain safety (handling, tools, chemicals)

• Keep area ready for next job; organize tools, materials

Required Qualifications:

• Experience with glazing / glass installation

• Comfortable with heavy material handling and use of lifting devices

• Proficient in use of hand/power tools relevant to glazing

• Attention to detail; ability to follow tight specs

• Good safety awareness

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• Experience with door/glass glazing in similar manufacturing environment 

• Understanding of glass types / sealants / cleaning materials

• Experience with finishing touches and final inspection

KPIs / Success Metrics:

• Glazing quality (seal, alignment, absence of defects)

• Throughput / units glazed per shift

• Breakage / damage rate

• Safety incidents

• Rework or customer complaints
