RAM Windows is looking for a hands-on Human Resources Generalist to join our team in our Houston office location. The Human Resource Generalist is assist in all functions of the Human Resources department, including talent, full-cycle recruitment, compensation, benefits, payroll processing, leaves of absences, reporting, events coordination, and administration. This position will work closely with HR Director who will provide coaching and mentoring to further develop candidate's HR skill set.
The ideal candidate for this position has hands-on experience in Human Resources. This includes payroll and benefits administration, talent acquisition, compensation, LOA's, reporting, change agent, and engagement champion. To be a competent HR Generalist, you should be dependable, committed to helping employees and the organization, have excellent communication and listening skills, and be able to multitask effectively.
Responsibilities
- Recruitment – Handle full-cycle recruitment. Recruit, interview, job offers, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for all open positions. Work closely with hiring managers to understand the needs of their department and any required job openings. Conduct pre-employment screenings.
- Onboarding - Create new-hire onboarding programs and deliver compelling new-hire orientations.
- Payroll and Benefits – Process weekly payroll and assist employees with benefit programs and all leave requests. Comply with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Benefits & LOA's - Assist with new enrollments and terminations of benefits programs. Assist employee with questions regarding our benefits programs. Handle LOA requests and maintain proper documentation.
- Administration - Handle filing of documentation, I-9 Forms, employee files, etc.
- Events Coordination - Assist with Employee events, luncheons, training evens, and Quarterly Townhall meetings.
- Safety/OSHA Logs - Maintain OSHA logs for work-related injuries and illnesses.
- Ensure professionalism and confidentiality in all aspects of the role.
- Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and legal responsibilities
- Assist with implementation of engagement initiatives.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Human Resources, or related area is highly preferred.
- 2-4 years' of hands-on experience working in Human Resources field or combination of education and experience.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (able to speak, read, and write in Spanish to translate information and documents to employees is required).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient with MS office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Familiar with HRIS/Payroll systems.
