Shipping –Supply Chain Support Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY

Plans, coordinates, and directs shipment of manufactured and distributed goods, and acts as liaison between customer, accounting, and shipping department to ensure on-time and accurate delivery while providing excellent customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments
  • Maintaining and updating Excel spreadsheets of customer, pricing, costs, and shipping information (familiar with basic Excel formulas and functions)
  • Contacting Customers regarding order status and delivery status 90, 60, 30, 10, and 5 days before delivery of windows and/or doors to construction jobsites for on-time-delivery.
  • Scheduling with customers on-time delivery of their windows/doors purchase to ensure repeating customer-base.
  • Providing excellent customer service and responding timely to customer inquiries and referring clients to the proper channels
  • Reviewing purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy
  • Making special shipping arrangements as necessary
  • Tracking and fixing shipping errors and working with Production staff members to track windows and doors status 
  • Ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets and exceeds the required standards
  • Assist developing processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized

REQUIRED JOB-RELATED SPECIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word; basic to intermediate to skills in Excel
  • Demonstrated judgment and decision-making ability
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills required
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and wear multiple hats in Shipping Support Department of 4 staff members
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills is a must
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, small environment wearing multiple tasks (multi-task)
  • Positive, high-energy attitude
  • Resourcefulness, creativity, and problem-solving skill set
  • Familiarity with office equipment (i.e. printers, fax machines, projectors, pc, desktops, laptops, scanners)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (basic to intermediate MS Excel)
  • Dependable and Reliable Transportation to report to work office location 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of  Clerical, Administrative, Customer Service, Shipping, Supply Chain, or Receiving experience required

PHYSICAL & OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer, up to 50%
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee may be required to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and/or climb on different terrains
  • Judgment, decision-making, follow-up, social awareness, reading/writing, organizational, timeliness, stress tolerance, communication (oral and written)
